Much better. Now I have something to work with.

I’m always wanting to learn. How does drilling out the emulsion tube holes help richen the main circuit. Isn’t it restricted by the main jet no matter how large those holes are? Looking a a cutaway view of the carbs I’d guess drilling out the tube could add more air, (lean) but again that is metered buy the size of the main air jet in the carb throat.

I opened up two of the holes Miller drilled in each to lean out the mixture. Then I added 1.2 air corrector jets that made it run too lean. If I resolder the holes closed it should be running with the stock holes and the recommended air corrector jets. That's what I meant by richening them up.

Steve, I'm running BS30/97-1.1 size Air Jets with #35 Pilot and 130 Main Jets in my 82 KZ1135 engine.  The carbs are RS34's.
With BS30/97-1.2 size Air Jets, she's lean, whereas with 1.0 size she turns rich.
Those little buggers make quite a difference, but the size needs to be correct.  Been through lots of trial and error, and I'm getting pretty close I think.  The fuel screws are turned out 3/8 or so.

Daveo.  Wow. That thing must run like a scalded cat. Plugs look perfect.

The old three-legged neighborhood dogs keep trying, but they can't keep up with me anymore.

Gotta put credit where it's due.  After Steve started talking about sticking #35 pilot jets in his carbs, I figured it was time to jump out of the 20's myself to see what could happen.  Thanks again, Steve.

Been having nasty dreams of 37.5's lately, and don't quite know how to handle them.
Two things I do know, is that I have yet to reach the no return point, and these engines were built like a tank.

Rule of thumb, put at least 100 miles on them before making any adjustments. I'll check the plugs tonight and see what I think. The exhaust note is changing so I'll run it this way for a while.
