Nope, the XS is an '80. I swapped in a bigger standard tank on my SG Special. The KZ is really a bits a KZ. '77 B frame, '83 GPz forks, '82 750 GPz engine. Post '80 wheels/brakes.

Nice collection 650 Dude! I've always wanted a Yamaha 650 twin. How does it compare, ride, power and vibration, to the Kawasaki 750 twin?
I used to run around the Shenandoah Valley with a buddy who rode a Honda 500-4. I was on my H1. I think they're still looking for us.
Thanks

I'll review each bike, but to answer your question, the Yamaha is MUCH more fun to ride than the KZ750 because its so light. Ever seen those antelopes jumping through grass in Africa? Thats what the Yamaha is like. Light, powerful and fun - very torquey and so easy to maneuver. Seriously, its like riding a dirt bike. HOWEVER i LOVE the dependability and "meaty" feel of the KZ750. It like being in a sturdy Roman chariot. Its my go to bike when i want dependability. I really enjoy it and ride it most because its durable and not as "pretty" as the others. The 4 other bikes are in a heated garage. The KZ750 sits out a lot, though covered. .

the 500 is SO fun. Ive done 110 MPH on that bike and the exhaust i have on it is LOUD. Im not ashamed that its not the fastest bike in the world. Its meant to be fun. Here are two pics of me on it at the Gentlemans Ride this year. One of the shots made the "news."

The CB750, well its the king. Its like the "Bentley" of my bikes. A little lighter than the KZ750, but obviously heavier than the CB500. It has a powerband I cant explain. Though the KZ650 is equally to it, the CB750 has a mean feel around 7k rpm. Its a big thoroughbread horse while the KZ650 is a Gazelle.
