Guys Help: 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 LTD
30 Oct 2017 09:18
I hope its ok to post this in this forum.
I have an opportunity to buy a 1979 KZ1000 LTD. What can you tell me about this bike? Its not a shafty, its chain driven. Is it worth getting in the scheme of KZ1000s? Also, if I wanted to change that awfu lhump seat to a flat seat, is that doable? It looks like this:

Nice bike . Different seats will fit.
A very good choice to enter into the big block 4 cylinders ( 900 and 1000s )
Please spend some time reviewing how to post . You still are posting in the engine section so I converted it to Bike Related. It is a very easy process to post subjects in the proper sections . Even a boob like me can do it and I am not in the least a computer savy person.

Hey JW is it this one?
This is in Utica, NY listed with Craig.
I know, I know Dave! But if you don't look at Ebay/Crglst you would not see it either?
It's entertainment for viewing! low miles. Bet $1500 would get it.

Yeah, the flat style seat that Z1 enterprise carries works well except you cant latch it unless you do some additional work.
This is an 80 ltd, basically same bike

You should book off work tomorrow and head down there to get it before the sun comes up for that money. You can't even buy a questionable motor for that price and it looks pretty complete and original. Kind of partial to the LTD especially since I sold mine 2 months ago.
