So a few months ago I came across a really neat Z1/KZ900/KZ1000 fender eliminator made out of fiberglass on ebay.

I'd never seen one before so I snapped it up. I know you can just make some simple aluminum brackets to eliminate your fender, but this is a really neat period piece that retains fender functions while being a lot more streamlined/sporty.

I sent it over to Matt at tannermatic ( www.tannermatic.com/ ) to make a mold of so that anyone else interested can get one.

Original:

Tannermatic copy (this is a raw copy fresh from the mold and needs sanding finishing work... obviously):

Quality is top notch and the fiberglass is laid on nice and thick (unlike a lot of other modern repro fiberglass items).
If anyone is interested in getting one, just shoot him an email.

unfortunately I don't. That picture of it on the bike is from the original listing that I bought it off of.

I'll see if I can get a halfway decent approximation picture though.

I believe that is part of a Tracy body works kit. They made one piece body kits that included the tank, side panels and rear tail.

I mocked it up. This is a rough approximation of how it fits; a 90% solution.

I used the original since most people would probably prefer a black/dark color vs the repro white. Keep in mind Matt Tanner can lay the glass in black gelcoat as well.
