Lower brake hose was created by c_loughridge
I'm trying to get the front brakes hooked back up on my 1980 kz440. I bought a new master cylinder and flushed the old lines the best I could. At the moment I am getting fluid to travel from the master cylinder down through the first hose and into the splitter joint. With the bottom hose disconnected from the brake caliper I can't seem to get the fluid to travel through it. Any chance the bottom hose has some left over crud build up or I'm just doing something wrong? Thanks.

Old hoses may swell up inside and become blocked. I would just replace it and not bother with a suspect hose

+1 on what Dave suggested. Would also recommed you replace the whole line with stainless steel braded brake hose. Should improve brakeing. If you still have trouble bleeding once the line is replaced, you can buy a vacuum brake pump to help in the bleeding process. Harbor Freight carry them.
