That bike is mainly for sitting in a showroom.

The tank looks awesome, but otherwise, it's sort of incomplete to be a real world bike. I would need fenders, mufflers and a far more visible brake/tail light and air filters. I'd probably want better tires as well.

No rear fender means the tire will shoot mud directly into the intakes... not a very good strategy.

I like where they are going, but it still has further to go.

They put VM34s on a KZ400?!?

Even with the mild porting and polishing that seems like far too much carb for such a small engine.

Very nice handiwork at any rate.

I think the 34s were stock on the earlier models and 32s came on later ones.

But those were Keihin CVs, not VMs.

I'm about to swap the stock carbs on my '79 KZ400 for a pair of VM30s. From all the reading I've done the consensus seems to be that VM30s are fine for stock engines with or without modified exhaust; VM32s are suitable if non-trivial head and/or cam mods are done; and VM34s are generally too large to work well. Of course everyone has opinions.

Ur right, I didn't notice the VM.
If Lou is right, I guess it doesn't matter.

I agree and Lou gave a more generous opinion than I will.
