It sold for 1500. I lowered the price for the guy because he told me he wasn't going to cafe it. I really didn't want to sell it to an idiot with a hacksaw.

Great deal! I cannot believe somebody paid $1500 for 550 bike! Prices are different in different states, but in FL you can buy pretty good running bike for 1500

A good running bike vs one that looks good too are two different animals. Anyone can get one, put it together with used parts and "flip" it to a unsuspecting buyer at a cheap price. Lots of crooks do that. :woohoo:
One that has been gone through with care and new or good used parts is worth much more.
My business was word of mouth and return customers wanting me to do the work, not someone else. A good reputation can be lost by one mistake. Using faulty parts can cost a life too. :dry:
I wouldn't give $.02 for a guy that cuts corners to make more money, deliver dirty parts or bike.
There's a few shops that were shut down, they're long gone but their bad reputations live on forever. :evil:
