Turbo KZ was created by larslykkegaard
Just bought this bike - found it in a basement almost just around the corner and it havent been running for 7 years and from what the owner told, roughly only been running for under 1000km
recon im gonna take it a part just to check up on what it actually is...
from what the owner could remember its a 1265cc with Orient Express block and Wiseco pistons, crank and transmission have been change but he didnt know to what, but he just remebered a lot of parts came from Orient Exprees (was build by another old turbo guru he said)

i have never heard of Orient Express before - what kind of company is that??

You lucky SOB!!!! What a find - I'm green with envy  The bike looks like it was built professionally, maybe in the mid 80's.

Orient Express was / is one of the best in the drag bike business. Best known for making transmission parts for drag racing KZ's and Suzuki Gs bikes. Top shelf stuff, many records on the books from racers using that stuff!!!

The Wiseco / O-Express 1260 block and pistons are a dynamite combination, too. Probably low compression dished "turbo" pistons, around 8:1. Add a street turbo system and you could potentially be sitting over top a 185+ HP monster in that sleeper street bike frame. It could potentially be a 9 second street bike.

Feed it only the best racing oil and high octane pump gas or racing fuel, never shut it down with the engine too hot (to save the Turbo), and go and have some fun scaring the SH!T out of the kids on Suzuki Hyabusa's....

2-04 R1, 81 CSR1000, 81 LTD1000, 2-83 GPz1100, 3-79CBX, 81 CBX, 3-XS650, 84 Venture, +parts

Nice find ;)
All that Kray Z said and more !!!!!!!!
Welcome to the world of unlimited power
Lots of good parts are still available new to enjoy your beast.
Go to Drag bikes web site and look around
Also you can get all the turbo parts from Terry Kizer at Mr Turbo in Texas online or call him direct
I cant see what vintage carb is installed , but a 42 Mikuni flat slide prepped by Mr Turbo is the way to go
Enjoy

Looks like a killer find, couple things I see is it needs steering stabilizers, front doesn't look raked, these things have a habit of reaching terminal velocity quicker than you can fathom and speed wobbles can make for a bad day! Second, looks like stock head nuts, keep boost low till you know if it has good studs at which time change to good nuts. It's good insurance. What you will find is that those busa's and 14's do pose a threat but they won't quickly forget you should you play with one!

Enjoy it!!

Orient Express, had their hand in drag racing in the early 80's. Terry Kizer, Keith Kizer Along with MTC's Ken Tipon (RIP), Bill Hahn Sr;
Mike Murrdoch, APE Jay.
This is when the infamous "Puppet" Race Visions designed funny bikes and top fuelers that emerged from Pups brain.
Was a good time for 4 cylinder Motorcycle drag racing, with all the Harleys Fuel bikes and Russ Collins SOHC Honda 750's.
Puppet re invented the drag bike chassis.
Orient Express was right in the mix.
I was younger than all these guys at the time, with no money, but ran homemade, modified Kaws. Hanging out at Pups shop dreaming of a real drag bike.
But a nice History, period piece. I would do some research on the bike, see who and when worked on it
Here are some old pics, I had a decal on my tool box in the 80's The funny bike poster came with the Orient Express mail order catalog.

Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY
Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

Thanks for all the feed back and yes im quite exited to see what its hidding.
The bike is and kz1000a1 and i got the stock engine with it- it dropped a valve so head and piston al fucked, but around 500km before that he had the tranny fixed at a dealer with bearings, gears etc....
The turbo engine is a Z1E110xxx and well yes cant wait to see whats inside - he only did some small trips but since it was put into a stock frame/bike it was all wopperly so he took it to his friends garage to upgrade stearing, frame and so on, but been standing ever since - 7years....
I got an extended drag swing arm (was told it's a Vance&hinse - but how do i check??) and an oldschool 18x6" Dymag magnesium wheel i wanna ad - the rest is yet to come....

pictures on its way :-)
