There's a new book out on the Kawasaki Z1, The Kawasaki Z1 Story : The Death and Rebirth of the 900 Super 4 by David Sheehan. You can find it on Amazon, E-bay or any other book sellers. I'm waiting for my copy to arrive, so I can't provide any kind of review.
Reference books are a great resource for restoration projects or just to learn more about the bike's history. I can tell you from experience that you don't want to wait until the book is no longer in print. Go check the price for a copy of Dave Marsden's Z1 Restorer's guide (might be in reprint now)or Mickey Hesse's Z1 Black book. They're listed for several hundred dollars if you can even find them.
