Question on Insurance Value was created by jimstan
I have just changed insurance company's on my bikes and a Question has come up on my Z1 B.
I put its Value at $ 3000 .00 However the insurance company is saying it is to low ?. I don't want to under
cut my self. and under insure it. It is not stock, but the numbers match on frame and motor for a 1975 Z!B.
Any thoughts on its true Value ?

Ask your agent for an explanation of a "Stated Value" policy and a "Replacement Cost" policy.
If he can not... dump him and the insurance company ASAP!!
It's insurance company trickery.
The "Stated Value Policy" protects the insurance company from over paying a claim, as you picked the $$ limit, even if it turns out the bike is really worth $10,000 and would cost you that much to be made whole... because you set a limit of $3,000.... and a "Replacement Cost Policy" makes the insurance company pay WHAT EVER it takes to make you whole again even if it cost $25,000.00.
They know what they are doing.
