After I got her all cleaned up, engine running & painted - with emgo fairing

And today after I got her WOF and registration. Now she's all road legal. I hated the red paint so I stripped the tank and painted out the plastics & fender matt black. After See Nessism's machine I knew mine would never be perfect so I'm ok with messing with it a bit. I'll paint the tank when I can afford it but for now this is it. I need to get used to riding it. It has so much power compared to the old 305, I really have to be careful to not get busted for speeding...

1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Yep 80, it just tells me my charging system is all good. It sits at 14v when it's running.

Elbow grease is right. I did it with the engine in place too. It's not immaculate but a huge improvement. What amazes me is despite how rough it looked on the outside it runs beautifully! I checked the valve clearances, all within spec, if it ain't broke... She purrs like a kitten!JR wrote: Looks great. That engine was pretty rough looking. Must have taken a lot of elbow grease.
