Cafe style fairing on KZ440 was created by BornAgainBiker
I am considering a few changes to my KZ440 ltd to make it a little more aerodynamic. I was thinking of going with lower bars and a cafe style fairing. Has anyone had experience with a similar set-up on a KZ440? If so how effective is it? Here is a photo of the type of fairing I am considering.

To big for the bike and you have a 6 1/4 in headlight. That fairing is for 7 in. .
I had one on a KZ1000 and it was a little on the big side.

Hi Jeff
If that is what you want for a look for your bike go for it.
Airtech makes some real nice pieces for you to look at if interested
What do you mean by is it effective ???
Looks ? Handling ? Improved gas mileage ?

I have the EMGO on the front of my 650... keeps the wind off my shoulders, gives me something to dive behind... if what's in front of me is kicking up cr@p... and does improve the airflow and I also suspect it can improve your fuel mileage. I do like my bullet and have used this same type of fairing for a few decades...

Thanks so much for all the great feedback everyone--I really appreciate it. To be more clear about what I'm trying to accomplish with these changes: I find that the current bars give a very upright seating position, which is fine up to 80 or 90 km/h, but after that I feel like I become a human air dam, getting buffeted by wind to the point where riding stops being fun and just seems like a lot of work. What I'm looking for is a set-up that will help me punch through the air more effectively at highway speeds, but I don't want to add anything too big or bulky to this small bike. I was also considering a small sports type windshield (like a Slipstreamer Spitfire or Slipstreamer Hellfire) as a possibility.
