I've seen this little guy on CL off and on for two years. Must have a 5 horse B/S motor in it. I didn't want to embarrass the rider so rode on by.

How is that street legal? I'll bet it ain't. He's in for a bad time if some cop finds him running around on that.

Steve, next time (if there is...) educate him. If he's embarrassed, it should be because he's an id-10-t and not because another human is trying to educate him. Real embarrassment happens when he's in cuffs and a wrecker comes by to "tow it off".

Desert Hot Springs AKA Desperate hot springs has the highest count of parolees and probationers in the whole valley. Crime is rampant, gangs have moved in and the town officials are as liberal as they come. Meth heads are everywhere. The bike is probably stolen and the guy riding it most likely was let out early and wants to go back in. If there were a cheap place to buy my cigarettes elsewhere, I wouldn't ever go there.
They don't call it Desperate Hot Springs for nothing and have since I was a kid.

Move? I don't think so. I left LA in 76 for good and never looked back. DHS is 17 miles away. I have 5 acres and no one will FK with me. All my neighbors are armed and one phone call, I got a squad. I do miss the canyons and trees though. I guess I got to quit smoking. Put me in a rubber room for two weeks, let me bounce off the walls and I'll be OK.

Played around with smoking in my early teens with my friends (sneaking camels from our parents and even a janitor bless his soul would sneak us a few and even let us use his room at school...... At around 18 to 23 I smoked daily till a friend and I made a 5 dollar bet who could quit the longest ...... I caught him with one maybe 3 -4 weeks later and I just never went back......... Brother in law (him and his wife are the best) has very bad heart problems directly linked to smoking and he just can't stop....... wish he would but I don't blame him in the least for not being able too.

My mom quit smoking at 40. Nothing worse than a reformed smoker. Had lung problems the last 20 years. I'm not sure if it was Valley Fever or just the damage caused by smoking. That didn't kill her, it was the Spariva inhalers the doc gave her and didn't tell her to rinse her mouth each time. She died of Thrush so I'm told. I think it was the fever common in the Central valley. :(
It seems when long time smokers quit, they die soon after.

I quit smoking 2 yes ago after smoking roll ups cigs for the last 20 yrs. Glad I did. They cost too much, burn holes in my clothes and limited where I spent my time. Now I'm free!!! :side:

I quit also, I gained some weight and I don't smell like an ash tray any more.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I have a bag of Turkish blend as a back up. I'm not driving 17 miles one way for a pack of cancer sticks. I was going to say fags but that's not politically correct now days. If I had to smoke rollies all the time, I quit. NASTY

The rollies I smoked cost more than brand name tailor mades. Good tobacco, I just got tired of having to leave the bldg every 30 mins to light up plus all the ills associated w/ it. Every one else in my family quit decades ago so I had good reason to give up the habit.

The Libs doubled the price of a pack saying the extra money would go to the kids. It goes into the general fund. They just want more.
