A Porsche 911 Turbo and a KZ.. was created by Spencer440
Well, I was headed home from work at about 4 yesterday, and as I was cruising down Poplar Ave, I heard a beautiful exhaust note way off in the distance... I stood up on my motorcycle, and about 120 yards ahead of me, there was a little black Porsche.. I switched lanes, and shot up to him.. When I caught up to him, I noticed that the car was a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo S.. I waved and pointed at his car, and gave him a thumbs up. The guy rolled down the window and then said "You wanna race?".. I looked at him and then looked back at the light, and I saw it was turning yellow, I revved my engine slightly, then I saw the light turn red, and I revved it to 5k and had one finger on the clutch, with it barely engaged... The light turned green, and for the first 30 yards, I got a 10 yard gap on the Porsche... Then I hear him really open the throttle, and shift into 2nd, and then the Porsche comes flying past me, screaming off the rev limiter, and spitting flames! :woohoo:
Then we pull up to another red light, and he rolls down his window and says, "Man, what size bike is that?? ", I laughed and said it's only a 650, and then he said "Damn it man, you messed my lunch up!", I laughed and then as the light was about to turn green, I hear him rev his Porsche up, and then he drops the clutch as the light turns green, and takes off like a rocket! I was in absolute awe at the acceleration (for only being a street car)! I just thought I would share this, because it absolutely made my day, knowing that my little old 78 KZ650, can hang with a modern day (turbo'd) Porsche and it was an absolute blast hearing that beautiful car!

Cool! I've also surprised a few guys in their hot cars over the years. It's always fun to see their reaction especially when they see the "Historic" tag on the back of my bike! Ed
