Ethan wrote: Ok new question. Do I have to find the right manual for my bike or was there only one type of Kz250 Twin?
For the answer to both questions PLEASE read my reply again at www.kzrider.com/forum/13-bike-related/59...manual-needed#685129 Yes, of course you should buy the right manual for your bike; why would you even consider buying the wrong manual? :S
I worded that reply to try to help you avoid buying the wrong manual. I have nothing to gain by lying to you. I am not selling manuals of any type. Ed

my engine number is:
KZ250AE 04617
After the seven there is another number that looks like either a 4 or an A.
If someone could assist in deciphering this engine number it would be greatly appreciated.

I think an engine number will have 6 numerical digits at the end, so it's probably a 4.
The engine number for the 82 L1 has a DE instead of AE after the 250 part. I didn't check any other models.

So, I contacted Kawasaki directly and they said that the bike could be a Z250-A3 1981 model.
I still don't think that this is right because the wheels on my bike are spoked and I think that they are the original wheels and my engine is completely black.
I have the green manual that covers the Z250 twins and the KZ305 twins also I think that this is the right manual. There is also a model identification in the manual but it is really hard to find the right model because my bike is not original.
