Less than 8 hours before the 81 CSR 1000 Is swapped out for a new September BOTM

Good Morning KZR members and I hope you all enjoy the new BOTM for September.
Please join me in welcoming a very special 78 Z1R/TC owned and raced by Ralph Pitlock :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
Ralph has been a Motorcycle racing maniac since Z1s were brought to the shores of the USA.
Now is this bike modified or stock ??? How about totally stock to pass Bonneville race tech inspection , with a twist that they check everything to verify stock down to the title as a real TC , then make you do a few safety mods to be able to compete for a land speed record.
This bike is not the first bike Ralph has taken from rough to a restored masterpiece. And being a good wrench and master painter sure does help keep his labor cost down . But that being said he still had to make sure everything parts wise was original right down to the stock cast pistons Ralph held the boost down to 7 1/2 pounds for his racing and still toasted the pistons, Think what a good set of MTCs could have let him run :evil:
