Took this the other day. One of the bearing journals has a chip out of it. I have the chip and am taking it to Jeff's in the morning. It was from the wreck in 87.

Re: Z2 750 crank (Bossie the Kaw)
17 Mar 2017 21:12 - 17 Mar 2017 21:22When doing the 1075cc kit last time, I filled mine with Permatex Ultra Black, high temp RTV sealer and used the one piece head gasket. I sprayed the one piece head gasket with the copper coat sealer on both sides, hanging on a coat hanger wire.... and after +4000 miles now.. and finally FOR ONCE, I have put one together that does not leak or seep at all!!!SWest wrote: Filling the groove on the block.

Took the case to get welded. More clips later.

That looks like a tricky weld repair (without a machine shop line bore of the mains saddle.)
Hope it works out with some relief, to not distort the bearing when it's torqued... etc.

He's very good. Uploading some clips now. I just put the crank in it spins with no binding.

Here's a clip of the case welding. Took him about two hours.

I'll take it outside, fill the oil galleys and see how free it moves.
