Picking up the $75 74 Z1 front end was a good move. Nobody wanted it because it looked so bad.

Sam still had that 74 Z1 front end after 2-3 years so I guess it was meant to be.

Steve, both of my 33’s have brass floats. You sure those are ok to run. 

EDIT, they measure approximately 30.28mm

They will work but there's a very small window in which to do it as you can see. The brass floats can crack and fill with gas. Common issue with all brass floats. I'll be ordering a set soon. 
As for smoking around gas, I grew up around people that did it with no accidents. Just need good ventilation and being careful. I'm not suggesting others do it. It CAN BE DANGEROUS.
