The Apr 2015 edition of Motorcyclist has a nice multi-page Article on the ELR. Not just any ELR, Eddie Lawson's personal ELR. Here's a couple of interesting tidbits. Kawasaki was going to present Eddie with ELR S/N 001. He asked them to give him S/N 021 instead. He regrets not asking to make it an S1 as well so it would be like the bike he raced. A Japanese collector offered Eddie $1 Million for this bike a a few years ago. It's still in his garage. By law, the Kerker exhaust had to be installed by the dealer. They didn't say exactly why. I'm guessing it couldn't pass emissions or noise regulations imposed on the factory. Worth a read for any KZ fan.

Man was I pleasantly surprised to see that article in this month's magazine! Really cool stuff.
I was thinking about trying to scan it and post it. Can we do that here or is that a no-no?

Awesome article about the man and the machine. There was also a great article on suspension setup and one on a authentic Dick Mann bike. I haven't been reading that magazine in some years so I was surprised at all the great content.
Scanning it is probably copyright infringement.

It is always nice to see articles regarding ELR's. This one is the same feature that Mitch Boehm created for his now defunct Moto Retro Illustrated. Ari Henning had a couple photo's taken and added them to the article. For the past little while there has been a rumour circulating that Eddie had indeed sold the #21. One thing this piece does is put that rumour to rest. If you haven't seen this feature before in Moto Retro or the English mag that also printed it, it is still a good read.
