I reckon you might be looking at the float valve needle - is it with the float assembly and very small - point on one end and little plunger on other ?
The Jet needle which should have markings on it that you can read is with the top of carb with diaphram assembly and very roughly about 2 inches long.

Yes I know what the jet needled is. :)

There are no markings on the one I was examining.

Unfortunately this WSM has a pic of a GPZ but is for KZ 750 E1-H1 Models.DL'd it anyway.
Can you change the float seats on your carbs taylee ? Still not sure which part you mean. Was it the jet needle which sits in needle jet (brass cylinder - screws in from below) ?

There is no such thing as a factory Kawasaki GPZ manual. You need the KZ750 manual, and the appropriate supplements which add the GPZ info. The table below shows how the manual structure works. Again, main KZ750 manual, then a supplement for each year.

Mikuni BS CV carb rebuild tutorial here... www.mtsac.edu/~cliff/storage/gs/Mikuni_B...Rebuild_Tutorial.pdf

The proper way to rebuild the carbs involves unganging the carbs. The carb body inconnect tube O-rings are often the ones in the worst condition. It's common to ungang the carbs and have the O-rings crumble in your hands.

Now i know about GPZ WSM - thanks Nesssim ! : ) .
My float valve seats are pressed in taylee.
$36 sounds ok to me for those parts.
