After riding with Daryl / Motorhead and his buddy Dave this Summer I have been interested in getting a pair of headsets for the wife and myself.

Daryl and Dave had a relatively inexpensive set that cost around $125 per unit and they really liked the ability to communicate on their rides,

I am not interested in listening to music or making phone calls, just chit chat with the Mrs .

Can anyone recommend a simple blue tooth two way that has loud speakers, I am hard of hearing

Hi JD,

I previously had an AutoCom system which I did not like at all, it was one of the early ones and was not very adjustable volume wise. I ditched it in favor of a JM Audio setup including a CB. It really works well. I don't recall the cost but it wasn't cheap.

Thanks Bill, I see that the JM Audio's that have the CB and weather are made in the US,
I'm going to look into them more when I get some time , they look real nice.

The cheaper bluetooth set ups they have don't say made in the US but look like good stuff.

Thanks zukdave , please let me know what you think of them.

That says dual pack so I am assuming that means 2 set ups, I'll look into them.

Yes two set up's and can link up to four and can be sync'd to other brand's.
It's a blue tooth deal so can sync. to your phone for hand's free
calling, music and GPS.

It's cold and rainy here so I'll install them and run around the Apt. and see how they work

Got these installed pretty eazy to do on our helmet's there was
a little peice of padding in the ear pocket that had the ear peice alittle
too close to my ear so I just trimed it out.

Stick the velcro deal in.

For what it is worth, Sena SMH10R. Low profile, great sound, excellent features.

I'd be woried that bluetooth wouldn't have the range. I haven't used them on bikes, but FRS radios are nice in cars, and you can easily get over a mile on a straight highway. My buddies and I tend to spread out sometimes when riding, so longer range would be good.
