38 views and no replies? Ok, I will start this one out then. I would really love to ride the Blue Ridge from Tellico Plains all the way to its end somewhere up in the East Coast. Gotta know there must be some riders along those lines.
Hell, this could be the pickup ride. I am going to do this next summer and camp out along the way. Those who are in for this could all meet at the beginning and those who can't ride the whole way could meet up with us as we go along to our destination. I will start researching the routes. Motorhead, Dave, Eddie, Forrest, Loudhvx, are you guys interested? This would be a good weeks ride covering the same amount of miles or more each day that we rode at the rally.

All righty then. Let's loosely plan some dates for next summer that would work for you guys. Me? I have all summer to ride unless my career path changes, and it might.

The backcountry mountain (big hill) roads of Arkansas are a great ride. Let me know if any midwestern KZRz are down!

Ok, so this is for you guys who live down there and actually know the roads. Could you chime in and post up some possible routes along with dates you'd be available. Once we get the majority of good dates we can set a date that works for all (relatively) or that those who aren't free can make arrangements. I have a great little book I bought online and I will post up some rides as well.

If you hit the east coast and go thru pa you might want to plan on going past here on the first sunday of the month. That way I can at least sit on a dam bike and go vroooooom vrooom . I really wanted to make the rally but something didnt want me to go. Just when I got the engine done the dam stator went. owell it is alive now but I wont make any plans.

Sorry Lawrence, but that's farther east than I've ever been in my life,, even on a plane. :S To distant for Dave and I to join that ride. Maybe another time/ place. :)

That's a very generous offer Lawrence. But I'll have to pass.
As far as a west coast ride, well i can tell you that between Oregon and N. California, there are some of the best motorcycle roads in the country. East Oregon has great roads with Very Few users. That's one reason why several motorcycle groups use John Day as a staging place for rides. You can do well over a 1000mi out in east Oregon and not ride the same roads twice. Not as high up as Colorado of course, but still 3500 feet and up to 8000. No shortage of twisty roads, and most days, nearly no traffic, it's a Blast!!!!! B)
