Anybody know kawasaki Jim in Pa? was created by 68dave
A friend and i went to kawasaki Jim's house last evening in York, Pa. because my friend needed a gas tank. This guy is the coolest old school cycle/hot rod guy i've ever met. He welcomed us in his garages, sheds and trailer full of z1 and kz parts. We sat with him and he told us stories about the many kaw's he's restored and raced over the years. If your in that area and need parts i would look'em up. Here's some pics.

I'll be there hopefully early enough to park in the same spot as last time.
Peter I'm sure you will be there, you are there every month.
I agree, Jim is a great guy.

He used to own a Kawasaki dealership. I bought a a Z1 engine from Jim years ago. I sent him the money immediately, but told him it may be a while before I could pick it up. He called me a few weeks later asking when I would be coming by. I told him if he needed the space I'd rearrange my weekend and head up his way. He told me it was still no rush, but at his age, he couldn't guarantee he'd still be around if I waited to long. I told him to write my name and phone number on the engine just in case, That was at least 5 years ago. Good to see that Jim really didn't need to worry.
