Russ Collins 1939-2014 was created by Dr. Gamma
Russ Collins, the founder of RC Engineering, and the builder of many totally outrageous Top Fuel bikes back in the 70's has passed away. His company, RC Engineering was one of the first companies back in the early 70's that started making go fast parts for the then new Honda 750. They moved into Z1 goodies as soon as the bike was released.

I remember seeing the Atchison, Topeka, and Sante Fe Top Fueler for the first time. OH MY GOD was the only thing you could say when it ran down the track!!! That bike was just one of many Top Fuel, and Top Gas bikes that came to life from the mind of Russ Collins. His first couple of employees turned out to make a mark in drag racing and the motorcycle performance market too. Byron somebody, and Harry, or Terry Vance I think it was.

Russ JR is doing a full restore on that bike
you can find it on the SOHC honda site.

Wiseco 810cc kit.

APE cylinder stud's and nut's.

3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.

He and then later Vance and Hines were always two of my favorite teams. Sorry to hear this.

1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.
