2003 z1000 vs. Street fighters

Just gotta say and I will be hung here for my views..

The newer z1000 is an ugly bike as a Kawi guy I hated it in 03.. Looked like some Japanese Beatle but I you ride one like I've had for 20k miles you'd maybe see it's the same stance the same feel as any kz out there..

Let's go 140 hp better brakes suspension and still ride like a straight up bike.. When I ride it's the same view the same feel with every luxury any old bike wish it had..

I've custom built my old kzs to try to blend new with old but if I had to start another project id take the tank the duck bill the round light and put it on a hated z1000..

After that I'd do a custom flywheel grind which is a lb heavier then a ninja 1k a zx1100 carb set up and a power commander map and get 150hp bike for $4k..

Don't get me to wrong without a duckbill and tank and round light it ain't a kz..

I'm on kz rider for a reason I love my peeps

My reasoning for owning a Kz is quite simple. When I was a kid there were two bikes that caught my eye. One was a Norton 850 Commando and the other was a Z1. From the moment I saw that Z1 I knew that I was destined to own one. I loved everything about them the style, the sound, everything. I have always loved the old bikes and in all honesty can't think of a single new one that I would trade my bike for. Now I don't have a Z1 but as old and antiquated as my Kz1000 is it's the bike that I want and there isn't a single so called new Naked Bike that I would own. The new Honda CB 1100 is nice but I think I'd rather put that kind of coin into my Kz and have something that is built to my liking.

Agreed to all but if prior to my career ending injuries I gave you the key like I had done for others your biking life would change..

The 03 z1000 would have you in drag strip shaking levels by the third shift.. It's the shelby of mustangs and so similar when perched on the seat ..
