Wow! That is a helluva lot of miles for an air cooled bike. These bikes are tanks. Mine have around 30k on both and I personally racked most of those miles up. They run as if I just bought them. People I know on the forum have bikes with many more miles. ZRX guys, for the most part, usually are very anal (pardon me, OCD) about their bikes. They love them and mod them every chance they get. You take one look at that bike and you'll be able to tell in a heartbeat. That said, I found my 03 blue for 2900 that had 7k miles with many add ons that were worth alone what I paid for bike. My red 02 had 16k and I paid 3500. You can find one that doesn't have miles just as easy. I have seen them sell for 2k 2.5 k with that many miles as well. However you do it just know that my bikes looked like new. One has an akra pipe, custom rotors and other nice mods like ted's, custom chain guard, mirror extenders, fork brace, ignition advancer, electric shifter, fender eliminator kit, polished lips and a great tune. The blue had Muzzy's, fork brace, peg extenders, mirror extenders, Fender eliminator kit, awesome sergeant seat, custom chain guard among a few other extras. Point is, they go for whatever someone will pay for them and there is no need to jump unless you think they are in great shape. Most go for around 3-4k. One thing to know is that if they have been on their sides running that is the red flag to stay away from as they self destruct quickly and about 3k miles later. Also, as has been mentioned on zrxoa, the kickstand is a tricky one. Bike will roll off it in a heartbeat if not on level ground or completely down and in gear. In gear is the operative word. I never put mine in gear as I have ridden kz's all my life but these need careful attention to aforementioned steps.

baldy110 wrote: No, it's not as long as good maintenance was done. I put over 150,000 miles on my 78 KZ650 before I tore into the engine. The only reason I rebuilt the engine was I wanted to install a big bore kit, there was no issues with the engine.

Forgot to mention, there are many guys who really ride and have put easily over 100k on them with routine maintenance.

Just read all of the posts. I bought one too, just happened to be a day it was raining hard as hell, they wouldn't let me take it. Got home, basement was flooded and then backed out of the deal. Great price. Know I made a mistake but maybe some day I will buy one again and actually take it home. GOOD DEAL, ZX14 is an awesome bike.
