MAG UK needs signatures, but British citizens only

You may have heard about the death of Jade Clark, a 16-year-old who was
killed when she was hit by Brian Hampton, on the A31 while on her moped
travelling to work in February 2013. Banned for drink-driving at the
time, Hampton not only didn’t stop, but he then attempted to cover up
his involvement by having his car repaired and lying to his family. He
was sentenced to six years in prison – two for causing Jade’s death by
careless driving and four years for perverting the course of justice.

He has now decided to appeal his sentence because he thinks it too
severe. MAG thinks he should be locked up and the key thrown away.

This petition was created by Robert Parker when he heard the news. So
far it has just over a thousand signatures which is not enough. It needs
10,000 to get noticed; and 100,000 to get to the point where it can’t be
ignored.

I would like to see it get that 100,000 signatures. Every signature counts.

Since I cant vote, I pray that you get more signatures than you need.

I read the petition but like mopguy, I can't vote. It sounded to me like the driver of the Volvo stopped and looked but left the girl there alive only be hit by other drivers. I hope you get all the signatures you need and more because frankly the SOB does need more time to sit and think about it in the can. I wonder if the guy had been drinking. I don't know how drunk driving goes in the UK, but it sounded like he was banned from driving. I would think banned from driving would be similar to suspended here. Tim

Yes Z1 I think that's what happened, he hit her, stopped, looked at her, left her and drove off.
If he had even bothered to drag her to the side of the road perhaps she'd be alive today.

Fingers crossed we get the number of sigs we need and maybe a little justice for Jade and her family.
