Feb sale at Cycle Gear. Got me a helmet

I had no riding gear at all so I went to Cycle Gear. I got all inexpensive stuff cause I did not have a lot of money. The kid was trying to sell me a Shoei helmet that was almost $400. I settled on a Bilt helmet that's is on sale for $49.99. I grabbed a jacket that has a removable liner, pads, and water resistant for $99.99. They were out of stock on the gloves I wanted but going back Friday when their truck comes in. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, I probably would have got a Shoei.

I've got two Bilt helmet's over all I like mine and the G/F like's her's.
I sized mine a little snug when new and after about a year it still fit's nice.
I can still hard jerk my head side to side and the helmet doesn't slip around.

CycleGear's helmets aré made by the Chinese company Yohe. They produce a number of helmets and after doing some research I found that most of their helmets have all the
Homologations (DOT FMVSS218,ECE 22.05,AS/NZS 1698,NBR 7471,JIS 8133,SNELL M2010 GB811-1998)

The materials compared to a more expensive brand are a somehow inferior, specially the liner and padding. The issues I have noted with their products is poor quality control and some helmets will need their nuts and screws to be tighten.

The helmets design and features are copied from other vendors and in general the ones brought by CycleGeae to the US are good looking helmets.

Shoei and Arai are definitely better built but are they $500 or $600 better? This is a question for each of us to answer.

On the other products (jackets, gloves) I noticed issues with the stitches, and zippers BUT they have a great warranty and they will replace them by shiny new ones in case something happens.
