I never heard of it, but that's a nice looking bike in the photo. It may not have been imported into the US; at least the bike in the pic must have been a non-US bike as the badge shows Z350 rather than KZ350. I wonder if it shares many parts with the 2 cylinder KZ400? Ed

Looks a lot like the 400 especially the engine.

We never had it in the USA. Looks just like a KZ400 with a smaller bore most likely.

well, in 38 years of dealing with older stuff, never heard about one either.
discovered it when a guy claimed he built a cafe racer around a kawasaki 350 twin and i posted a reply that such things never existed.... need to eat a hat now,
full name was Z350i and the "i" stands for italy,
Guess it was an italy only model to get around taxes for higher than 350cc imports at the time

Well, that is three regional-only models that were not included in the Kawasaki Recognition Guide series: 1979 KZ1000-S1 (Germany only), KZ1000-G1 (North America only) and this Z350i (Italy only). I'll wager there are others.

This guy gives a quick description of the model which pretty much has been already surmised here on KZR.
KZ400.com - I made a little mess in the crankcase (Z350i)
Interesting paint detail.

Some countries had cc limitations for learner riders (England was 250cc when I lived there).
Insurance rates also played a part. I know growing up in England, the insurance companies used to have significantly higher rates for bikes larger than 350cc.
