Just checking my sanity. Did Kawasaki ever release, in the United States, a KZ750 Twin with shaft drive? If not, has anyone seen or done a KZ750B shaft drive conversion? Would the apporpriate internal output shaft and drums, swap into a KZ750B case and allow the bevel drive to bolt on? Any information would be appreciated.

The short answer is no. The closest Kawasaki came was the 1983/84 750K model which a vertical twin with a belt drive. There technically were 750 shafts in the mid 1980's but they were the VN series which were V-twin Vulcans but the transmission design is radically different from the vertical twins.

Anything can be made to fit into anything else, if you have the time, money, resources and energy to make it happen.
I'd ask Steell, he knows a lot about 750 twins...

Doesn't the 750b and 650/750-4 use the same case cover behind the counter sprocket?

And the 550/900/1000/ and probably 1100.
Check the parts diagram at kawasaki.com and see if you can find a chain drive bike that uses the same output shaft as the 750 twin. Then look for the shaft drive output shaft for the same bike.
I don't think there are any.
