is there some difference between them and kz 1000? I have found one to use for parts if I can buy it cheap enough.

The CSR was the cruiser version of the KZ 1000. High handlebars, large stepped seat, no tail piece, different mufflers, etc. Ed

It was meant to be basically a KZ1000LTD in looks, but be mostly econo in build and features so could be sold for a lower price. Kind of the entry level KZ1000 if one wanted a KZ1000 back then.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I think the frames are slightly different, or at least on the 650, not sure about the 1000
Depends what parts you want I guess.
