which version z do you like best? was created by crusierlover
My friend of mine and I are about to build a z, and more than likely two.I prefer the original stock look except for the chrome fenders. We will probably have a 78 and 79.He prefers cafe racers and is an excellent fabricator and welder,so thats easier for him.I cant ride with rear sets or clipons.I am 64.But even if I could I like the original look better.Which do you like?

Proud owner of 1982 650csr again soon. keeping it this time

I prefer the stock look without a doubt! I can appreciate customized (cafe or other) bikes. But what gets my emotions going is seeing an original bike as I saw them in my youth. That is what takes me back through time warp to a wonderful era in life. A customized bike, as nice as it might be done, does not have the same effect. But on the other hand, cafe bikes are fun.

I like stock in motorcycles and also in cars and trucks. I think Ed and me are two of a kind, except I'm more rude about it usually. A well done racer can be cool too if it retains the stock looks basically, like an old AMA road race bike or an old Prostock drag race look is good too. What I can't handle is the hacked up junk we see on ebay and laugh about here on the forum, and there is plenty of that out there.
What was it we saw a few months ago? I think is was that Custom Sake Bobber KZ1000 on ebay a few months back. A good way to not go. I still wonder what "custom sake" means, but probably just going by the pictures is well enough info on that.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
