I would love to go downtown Friday or Saturday. However, a hometown friend of mine host us at his house. I have been to every Moto GP since they began in this moden era. I was only able to pry my friends away from buddy's house one Saturday out of all of them. :pinch: And, that was to go to the Indy Mile. Maybe Friday Night I can make this happen. Saturday we must party at my buddy's house....

Great News! Les Holt won in his category at the Rolling Concours! :woohoo: B)

Finally got to meet Les. Love that bike in person and so did the Judges which included Mark Hoyer and Peter Egan of Cycle World Magazine.

Me, I got within 2 miles of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and my KZ shot craps! The ignition or something in the wiring has completely severed my ability to start the bike. Good thing I had my truck/trailer at a buddies house. I did not get to participate in the Rolling Concours. My hometown friend who was riding in with me was able to make the ride and show. Can you believe that 2 weeks ago I had ridden my KZ from Omaha, NE to Jackson, WY and back without any issues! Glad I didn't get stranded out that way.

Anyway, a great Moto GP, great weather and a great Vintage Bike Show. Oh, and a great Bike Night downtown on Meridian. Literally thousands of bikes parked and cruising.

The Really Good News! Indy will host the MOTO GP again next year! All of you should come out. A great event and great times to be had. AND, I will be successfully participating in the Rolling Councours next year. ;)

Les

Hey Les, You were scaring the BaJeezus out of my friend Jim on his little 1976 Suzuki 185 twin smoker!  He told me, "there was this guy on a bike, I don't know what it was but it sounded like no other bike. AND, I could tell that it wasn't happy just loping along, that bike wanted to run!" HA! Way to go Les! AND Congrats again on winning your class! B) Let's ride sometime soon. I promise to bring a bike that can keep up!!

Cool! thanks Forrest!
Yeah, it wasn't the happiest at 20 to 40 mph cruising but it survived!
That pic of the 4 rootbeer brown Z1'S is some what a farce, the one to the far right is a later KZ with Z1 paint. BUT, the one to the far left was a crazy early numbered Z1, 000313 with a 330 motor! I took quite a few pics of it but by far the best one still had original paint and pipes. I believe roy-b-boy is friends with him. I've seen this bike in Florida and here. It's the real Deal!.

We did it!

I have to thank more than a few people here for not only the inspiration but the drive to prove to some that you can have a real street bike that is fast, clean, handles and looks good! It's not been a picture perfect vision but a real vision!

Again, Thanks to all on this site and I look forward to going to the next level with everyone here!

Yes! Congrats again to Les.

My buddy that I turned on to the Rolling Concours and rode as close as 2 miles from the track before my KZ shot craps got an honorable mention. It is the orange Suzuki 185 described as a 1975. It is actually a 1976 two cylinder two stroke.

Way to represent Lee.

BTW, think I know what happened to my bike. Will update soon.

Well done Les... it's nice to see a decent number of Z1/KZ's at the event.
