SWEET! and well done! The easiest way I have found to overcome that mighty hurdle is to say "Look what I bought you Honey!" and "tell" her it's hers!

Don't quite think that will work on her. She won't even sit on the 650 with it on the center stand. I'll have to come up with something more logical like this is a great investment or something to that effect.

Well I have seen almost as nice examples sell for $5000.00

Picking her up next Saturday. She's not perfect, has typical wear and patina, but a very, very nice example. Well kept, one owner with 20,0195 miles. Has hardly been ridden the past 5 years. Started right up but had difficulty idling. Once in the throttle though she pulls like a freight train. First order of business is a good carb cleaning and sync.

Well I got her home yesterday. I have to say the paint is way nicer than I thought. She is currently at my friend's shop impatiently awaiting my return to clean the carbs. I snapped a few pictures in a hurry so they are not that good, but will give an idea of the condition of the paint at least.

The PO had a lot documentation. Original bill of sale, warranty card, work orders over the years, factory manual, and the original drive out tag.

Once I get the carb cleaning done and some detailing I'll get some better pictures.
