Damn fine bike for the money spent. Never saw a set of bowls with drain plugs and pumpers.
I'm working on a '78 Z1-R myself.

Kawasaki

Someone once told me to marry that motorcycle I was riding ......there's times I wish I hadda listened .

I hope to be at the Paris CVMG meet this year. Always worth the trip and always interesting stuff to see.

flhwesty - do you sell stuff there.... at the Paris meet?

I have a cousin who frequents the Chatham area and he has mentioned a guy who sells Japanese parts and maybe the same guy has a shop where guys can work on their own bikes - is that you ?

I sell at paris sometimes. I will let people use my garage, but not many have. Must be somebody else.
Paris is on fathers day weekend.

The carbs are Mikuni 29mm smoothbores.

For whatever reason, the "mystery" holes were added to the "air hose" flanges.

Good Fortune! :)

Might be for refit....to identfy in-board out-board carb right / left side????

Looks like the left carbs are drilled on left sides and right carbs are drilled on right.

I thought the hole maybe for pods or velosity stacks also.
It cam as pictured. Rare that I buy a vintage bike and do not get boxes of spare parts.
