I think I have been getting electrified through my clutch cable, but common sense tells me it is the muscles in my arm are frictioning.

On a car, riding the clutch wears out the throwout bearing and pressure plate fingers.
On the KZ, when you hold the clutch in, at a stop, the part that gets pressed out (the pressure plate) is at a stop, so there is no wear like in a car. It doesn't hurt hte trans at all. The springs may get softer sooner, or maybe the disks might wear a tiny bit, but that means they will only last 40 years instead of 50.

That will eventually get you hurt, ask Mark Wing. Never assume that cars are going to stop just because their light just turned red and yours just turned green.
