Pete, I think things may have resolved themselves. Thanks to his comments that were observed by another business owner who commented. If he keeps my parts now he had better enjoy them as his being an ass and not returning my stuff turned out to be on his dime. Too bad he didn't have the decency to work things out for me. Thank God I put it on my card.

That's also a nice way to call your Greek friends. I won't honor him with that. He grew up in the streets of wicker park. Who knows? Maybe befriending someone and screwing them over is just his MO.
The worst thing about this was that I was pissed and he basically said f you. I just wanted my parts. Even if bike wasn't built right. Now I will finish it myself and KNOW it's done right.
He lost a real friend. I do anything for a close friend and he knows it well. I let him build my engine when I was going to have Mark Smit a REAL engine builder take care of my bike. I would still be on the first build not second time around. Maybe some of you guys know him. He is so busy building engines he doesn't have time to wait three years to half fast a project.
This is it. End of post. Those of you who consider a mechanic need to look on and totally forget this guy is even a sorry excuse for a malaka.

The double meaning is why I used that epithet .... but as you say enough time spent on that. Good luck on your bike project and checking the motor out and let us know how it turns out.

Get off your ass bud and get R done....
* Verify on other running bike that your compression tester is good.
* Measure valve clearances first, swap shims as required/if needed.
* Just drop a little oil (teaspoon) down the plug hole for a cold engine and retest...

Hell if my old ass can do it (more than once mind you (blown engine) :pinch:) so can you. :kiss: :dry: :laugh:
