Fork Rebuild was created by Dvrmerck
This is a fork rebuild from my 78 kz650D SR I've stripped the bike to the frame, powder coated as much as possible. I took the forks apart several weeks ago, painted, etc.. bought gold fork emulators from racetech to improve handleing but am now having trouble getting them back together. IN particular the smaller spring placement. Is this the correct placement? Does it go under the Dampner or around the Dampner. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a top out spring, it goes in the tube first, followed by the damper. When the fork is fully extended the spring keeps the damper from slamming into the fork tube.

The spring on the damper is correct.

I hope so. Any idea how I can make it easier to fit the springs into the forks without the grunt work. I've been trying to manually push the springs in with my palm to no avail. Still trying to figure out placement of Gold Emulators.
