I have always liked the KZ1300's and recently came across one I am interested in buying. It is almost completely stock, except for the 6 into 1 exhaust. Assuming it is mechanically sound and judging by the pictures I attached, what do you think it is worth? (US Dollars) I just don't want to overpay on this since I am new to the KZ1300 scene.

B.T.W: It is a '79 with ~10200 miles.

Any comments or insight will be appreciated.

To me it'd be worth $1500-$2000. Only you can determine how much it's worth to you.

I've got one of those for which I paid $2,500.00. Take it for a ride and look at the plugs to see how well it was rejetted.

Good Luck

Thank you for the responses.

I was going to try and crank the bike over when I checked it out this weekend, but after reading about the "Cam Chain Tentioner" and possible disaster the stock one could cause, I figured I would probably just put the bike in 5th and then try and roll the back wheel by hand to make sure it is not seized up. I am going to do the CCT upgrade as soon as I get it home and then try and get it to run. It sounds like that is the smart thing to do :)

Thanks again.
