Hi guys,
Does anyone now of a good bike shop in the greater los angeles area?
I have a 1979 kz1000e1
And what i specifically need right now is a replacement of my front brake calipers.
(that and other serciving such as oil change, etc)

There's a great guy in San Bernardino that I HIGHLY recommend. You should learn how to do the basic maintannce yourself - grab a copy of the factory service manual (available on the filebase) and get to it! :)

Well, i do need those parts..
And i am quite far away from home, so im forced to rely on others; therefore forced to spend that extra dough

I wish there was a section in this forum guiding people to local shops in case theyre out of towm, etc

What you'll find is that most (essentially all) of us do our own work because most shops won't touch our bikes as they are too old. This is not to say that there won't be a shop near you that does good work, just that, in many cases, we know more about these motorcycles than do the mechanics...who have grown up working on fuel-injected, water-cooled varieties.
