Vetter side cover emblem

I was told my KZ900 was originally a Vetter model from the factory. Has anybody seen any of these original models? Anybody have any period adds showing the model? Below is a picture of the side cover emblem that came with the bike (only one side cover came with it). It is the only telling evidence I have that came with the bike.

I'm drooling over that pic of the emblem. It is my understanding that the fairings were installed by the dealers and could be put on any bike. I think the A models were the most popular. I believe the bi-centennial version was the only distinctly Vetter model from the factory. It was red, white and blue with some graphics and only 200 were built. Do you have the fairing or luggage? I have a Kawasaki/Vetter fairing. My luggage is plain Jane Vetter. The serial #s on the made for Kawasaki fairings start with a K32. My fairing and lowers have no emblems at all. I think they were removed and the fairing put on a different brand. If you'd like to unload that emblem, give me a shout, it would look good on my fairing. Drop an e-mail to Craig Vetter at craigvetter.com. He was very helpful when I was installing my fairing. I had to make a bracket to fit. He sells emblems but they don't say Kawasaki on them.

not on the 900..later some 1000's and an ltd 1100 had full bags from the factory...send craig that pic and he will tell you...he is great about support and really loves the bike scene/sport...great guy

They appear to be all over this 1981 KZ1100 in Luminous Navy Blue!

That is completely lacking the lowers...dmmit!!
