So, 3 yrs and quite a few dollars and curse words later, I think she's ready. She being my 82 550 ltd. long story, but a smoked a piston. Anyway, I just took it out for the first extended ride over 10 miles. Pulled hard to 90, pulled a little wheelie, held constant 70 mph for several miles. So far everything looks good. Anyway here is a pic of it. Think I should do any cosmetics to it? She needs a good cleaning and polishing, and I still need to paint my emblems silver yet

Good looking bike! I dont see the need for any more cosmetics... I'd skip the polish too, looks clean enough to me. It sure could use a few thousand more miles on it though

I'd put the factory striping back on and get some new emblems. Those look black?

Yeah, they were scuffed up really badly so I painted them black but have since changed gears and will reprint them silver
