ME AND MY DAD LIKE OUR LTDS

Well, i have a 1981 KZ1000LTD. My dad has a 1981 KZ1000LTD. And... i have added but another LTD to the collection as of yesterday. No its not a bike but DAMN, this forum is better than facebook so im gonna share with you guys rather than there. My mom said she hated the gas mileage.. I wanted a big car... soooooo.. I GOTS ME A 1976 FORD LTD oh my god i love this car. 53K original miles. The heads and gaskets were replaced probably about 2000 miles ago so the motor is pretty much new. Tomorrow will be U-joints, dent removal, and a huge cleanup. This thing is damn near rust free. Before this i was driving a 98 mercury tracer (basically a ford escort) so my mom told me she wanted to trade. All the paperwork is done and i am legal. I love it when almost every person i pull up next to at a stoplight wants to show down :evil: Its got a 6.6 liter 400Ci V8 and Posi i believe. I also have a 650 CFM edlebrock carb and headers waiting for this thing. Ill post up some pictures of our LTDs all parked together

I had a boat like that a couple of years ago. A '78 Lincoln Town Car. With a 5 liter V8 it got 17 mpg. I loved it, until I had to put gas into it. Now my KZ1000 is all I drive.

Yea, this car has needed a bit of work too since i got it. Replaced the U-joints and now the wheel bearings need replaced. Still haven't got to dent removal but everything else is pretty nice. Its at the shop right now getting Diagnosed since im not completely sure on the whole wheel bearing thing. Just rattles and clunks in the rear end while driving. Im getting it back tomorrow with the good and or bad news hopefully its not the whole rear end thats bad. Either way, its getting fixed like my bike would if it had something bad happen to it.

You know they have the best onboard diagnostic system? you walk around front and there it is, the problem is Circled!! LOL My first drivable car was a 1977 Chevrolet Caprice. I loved that ol' Boat! You will make some memories in that car with your friends. Enjoy it alot.

I love the old LTDs. 16 years old, bought and robbed the drivetrain out of a '74 to drop into my '64 Galaxi 500.
351 Windsor with a Holley 4 barrel that I added. That thing was a low rider with class I tell you.
