Does yamaha have a parts x-reference like kaw?

My buddy just got an 85 Maxim 700. he's looking for a side cover. Anyone know if Yamaha has a site (or a 3rd party for that matter) that allows you to see how many other bikes used that part, like Kawasaki has on their part diagrams?

I didn't see anything on the Yamaha site...

I think he is gonna flea bay it anyway, I just know how useful the kawasaki site is when you try to broaden your search, like if you have a 750-4, a bunch of parts from the 650's fit too.
