Just a thought, but looking at some of the folks who chirped in on fuel economy, and noting that your bike is a shafty, where some others are chain final drive.... I may be wrong on this one, but I was always under the impression that part of the trade off in going to the near-zero maintenance of a shaft was the somewhat increased overall power loss to the rear wheel.

Might not be enough to account for serious MPG gain/loss, but it MAY, and especially combined with the big windscreen play some part overall. Just a thought.

I also agree with the others, great looking bike! And the cherry bomb setup is interesting, and looks good as well. I don't think I've ever seen one of those on a bike before.

I did forget to mention in my original post that the bike had a four-into-one exhaust on it and since it was on there when I bought it, I can't say for certain if it had been re-jetted.
