Forrest wrote: You talkin to me? LOL! ...... Yeah, I'm talking to you and everyone else that wishes to read this post. My point & focus is that I will soon be riding in the areas of Morro Bay, Monterey, Lodi, Sac, Tahoe, etc. No Relay Flag transport for me since I won't be on my KZ or other vintage Kawasaki. The best I can offer is fellowship, wingman duties, and other civilized well mannered hooligan behavior. I will have travelled over 2,500 miles by the time I pass through your area. Just letting you and others like Slayer know I will be passing through your neck of the woods. You never know, someone may wish to be sociable. In a perfect world, I would have liked to have met the man that brought forth that question/concept of whether anyone still rides these old bikes. Too bad you feel less than cordial. Just so you know; I fear no one, I fear no road.
Have Fun on your ride Forrest.
We're also heading out this next weekend for our N. CA 1K plus trip. I'll be on my old 90 Concours this ride. Saving the KZ for the Rally in August, that will be at least 1300mi round trip!!

bigsert info will be on the other thread about helicoil repairs...but a few pics in this thread are relevant ,as the bike was down hard for the count -no relay- and now is up and ready for it's short leg.....
the first pic shows the old plug with the generic thread insert still seized on the plug-as it was when it shot out while riding- as well as a new generic (auto store) insert and bigsert for reference
this one aint coming out...could do em all for new threads but no need to get carried away....anyone need this kit let me know...no worries

Will Do Daryl AND you have a great ride too! Will have to make it out to N. CA, the Trinity Alps and such sometime.
Also, will be riding through South Fork, CO on June 26th and will stop for a quick visit with our KZ Rider Relay Rally hosts, Craig & Annette Williams. Will post an update on the Ute Bluff Lodge once back.
