I have the chance to buy a Nice 2000 ZRX1100 for about $1600. It has 55,000 miles on it . Is this alot of miles for these motors? The guy says it runs really good and is in great shape.
When shopping for bike what is too be considered too many miles?

$1600 sounds good to me. check out www.zrxoa.org/ there is more knowledge there about those bike than u could imagine. lots of guys part those out over there to, so parts r there if needed.
i say buy it. :)

I think it is too good to pass up too. It has new tires but does need a new chain.
Just the swingarm and shocks alone are worth good money on this site. :evil: lol

Buy it and rebuild the motor with a 1109 kit and zx11 cams and valve springs.
Cheap (relatively) thrills :P

Yeah, that's a pretty good price. I've been somewhat following ZRXs the past few months as I'm considering getting one a few months down the line. The ZRX-1100s have about 110 hp, while the ZRX-1200s have about 120 hp. Think of the cost you need to put down to get 110-120 hp out of a KZ. Apples to oranges comparison though.

There are some Rexs with more.
The 1109 pistons with zx11 cams pods,pipe,etc.. will get you about 125 to the ground.
Swap in a 1200 with pipe and pods and get 130 with no loss in low and midrange.

If the bike had decent previous owner/s who serviced it regularly you shd get a lot of use out of it before it starts costing serious $. Sounds like a good deal Badrino, did you buy it?

That's a good price on a 2000. I have a '99 with ZX-11 cams, Muzzy exhaust, pod filters and Factory Pro jetting. 125+hp. With an 1109 kit, 135+ hp. Handle great too. I say go for it, 55k isn't that much on a big four cyl. bike.
