Help with bike ID? was created by xbmxxx
This is one I am working on, just trying to figure out the year. The part that's confusing me is that my 750b has points, and this one has wires coming out the points cover.

Yep, 1980 KZ750G1.
Uses points just like the 750B unless it's been upgraded to electronic ignition.
Most parts will swap with 750B, my avatar is a 750B with 750G side covers and tank.

Awesome, thanks guys. The electronic ignition looks to be factory, but thats not saying someone before me hasn't swapped it.

One more question, would this engine use the same carbs as my 76 KZ750B?

heres a few pics.

Sorta kinda, but they do interchange :)

That is an 82 motor, it's got the small manifolds for the BS34's installed on the 82 and later twins, Does it have two hose connections on top the valve cover?

82 has electronic ignition stock.

The 79 in my avatar has an 82 motor in it :P
