Hey guys. 2 years ago when i re-assembled my Suzuki GS300L motor, i didn't use assembly grease, i just oiled where the cams ride in the head. They do not have bearings. When i finally got the guts to put it in the frame and start it, it kinda seized up because there was no lubrication up there. I found the problem after calling my local mechanic. After taking the valve cover off and removing the caps from the cams, i found quite a bit of scoring on the exhaust cam over cylinder 1 Where it rides in the head. I have plans for the motor. Since the frame does not have a title and i do not have money, i think the next best thing would be a gocart. I know if i screw up on sanding the grooves on the cam and take too much metal away, it wont ride properly in the head. Is there any way to fix this without getting a new head or should i just run it till it dies? This was my first re-build project and i kinda messed up. The scoring is deep enough to feel with your finger nail.
