New Bike was created by Slick
I still have my KZ550, but went with a buddy for him to look at bikes. I was kind of in the market for one myself, but not really looking. I was looking at all the cruisers and found a couple that were pretty decent. My buddy is looking for a busa. While he was checking one out, I saw a Z1000 two bikes down and thought it was pretty cool. So I sat on it expecting what I always expect on a sport bike (they never fit me and I don't care for the stance). I was shocked. I instantly forgot about a cruiser and started dreaming of the Z1000. I tossed it back and fourth for a few days and drove the 30 miles to the dealership again to drule over it some more. A couple weeks later, I purchased it. It's a 2008 and appears that the previous owner took really good care of it and didn't beat the crap out of it. She's smooth and sound. I bought it on Dec 22nd, and have been riding it almost every day. With the exceptions of snow and rain in the forecast. Every time I get on it, I get a big ol grin. Thought I'd finally get around to sharing my excitement with you all.

Very cool! I'm interested to hear your thoughts on it in the next few months as I have looked into the Z1000s myself.
Definitely keep the 550.

Anybody remember the Plymouth Roadrunner ads in Hot Rod Magazine in the late 60's?
They showed a big cloud of multi color exhaust rolling out the back.
Every time I see a Z1000 with the stock exhaust I look for the multi color exhaust
